The Hand Eczema Severity Index (HECSI)
The Hand Eczema Severity Index (HECSI) score for the clinical assessment of hand eczema severity, was developed
and published first time in 2005. HECSI has since then been the most frequently used severity assessment tool
for hand eczema. The final severity score interpretation: clear, 0; almost clear, 1-16; moderate, 17-37; severe,
38-116; very severe, ≥ 117-360.
